Postnatal Care

The process of becoming a mother is transformational and exhilarating but can also be daunting and hard!

In the early postpartum days, you are recovering from birth, as well as navigating lack of sleep, learning to breastfeed, soothing a new baby etc etc!

During these early days, I work closely with your entire family to ensure that you are on a path of success. All care is in your own home, and is tailored to your individual needs.

Postnatal care includes (but is not limited to )::

  • Frequent visits in the first week, and then weekly or fortnightly check-ups until 6 weeks, depending on your needs. Personalised care is provided, attending to the emotional and physical well-being of the mother and baby.
  • Assistance with breastfeeding
  • 24-hour phone support for questions and concerns
  • All birth registration paperwork will be completed and given to you
  • Konakion is administered to baby - if the parents consent to it
  • Guthrie test for baby is attended to - if the parents consent to it
  • Contraception and family planning, depending on your needs
  • Cervical screen test is completed if required
  • All services tailored to your unique individual family needs.
