Get to know Loralee

I have been settled in the Southwest for many years. I live on a property not far from Busselton with my partner and teenage children and a few furry creatures. I enjoy ocean swims, long runs, playing piano and reading good books!

For more than 25 years, I have gained skills working in India, Mexico, Northern Canada, the Kimberly, and am presently situated in the Southwest corner of Western Australia. My background is emergency nursing, but my passion is Maternity. I have been working in Private Practice, providing perinatal care, since 2012. I have close relationships with all of the hospitals, Obstetric GP's, and obstetricians in the Southwest. We work collaboratively together to provide families with safe care, and help them to achieve the birth of their dreams. 

I provide comprehensive, holistic, evidenced based continuity of care, throughout the pregnancy, labour and birth, and 6 weeks post birth. All care is relationship based, ensuring seamless support throughout your pregnancy and birth journey. I recognise the normal physiological process of pregnancy and birth. But I am also able to identify anything which is not 'normal' and intervene accordingly to ensure maternal and fetal wellbeing. 

You will be supported to birth at home or hospital, with a midwife you know and trust. Your unique wishes, needs, choices and autonomy are supported and valued.

I value your insights into your body and your baby’s well-being. I recognise your instincts and intuition as an essential guide in your journey toward motherhood. I believe my role is to guide and support you rather than directing you.  I encourage you to be actively involved in making informed decisions in every aspect of your care.
